As the Fall semester approaches, we are considering revising
our library's food & drink policy. I am curious about
policies in effect at other academic law libraries and how
these policies are enforced. I have come across some
articles in College & Research Library News dealing with
other academic libraries, but not law libraries. Also, I
have checked academic law library web sites through the
links provided by Washburn.
I would appreciate hearing by direct e-mail from any who
would be kind enough to respond:
1. What policy, if any, your library has concerning food
and drink in the library?
2. How is this policy enforced and by whom? (For example,
is the policy actively enforced or are only flagrant
violators singled out; are some patrons, such as undergrad
students using the law library scrutinzed more closely than
law students, etc.).
If you would reply directly to me, I will, given enough
responses, post a summary for the list and/or write up
something for a publication such as the ALL SIS Newsletter.
Thanks for any replies!
