Hello Law Libers!
Back in April CBC sent a new 3-volume hard bound edition to
replace the old 12-volume loose-leaf set of Premises Liability Service. It
costs about $240.00, so we began wondering if there was a catch to this.
Well, two days ago we received a letter which said we were not up to date
anymore and that we could get supplements for about $240.00. We paid
$235.00 last December for updates to our old 12-volume set. Isn't
it interesting that we are being charged more for a 3-volume update than a
12-volume update?
Remember a few months ago that everyone was discussing an
advertisement of a book entitled "American Speaker: your guide to
successful speaking?" We received that advertisment again. It was
addressed to my former supervisor who retired 1 year and 7 months ago
and the hand written message says "Rod, try this. It works!" J.
I am still thinking about calling the publisher and asking
who J. is. I know others have and I do not think anyone received
a solid answer, so I doubt if I will either.
