I can't help you with the Illinois UCC text, but here are some thoughts
on the the Illinois Administrative Code. The version published by the
State of Illinois is very poorly indexed. At a meeting I attended last
spring I heard a presentation by the person who is head of the
administrative code unit. He stated that the edition of the code
published by the State is intended for use by State employees; they have
little concern about the needs of other users. The State version is
updated quarterly. Sometimes a statute cross-reference table is included
with the indexes, sometimes not.
The Barcley's version is very nicely presented - double column test as
opposed to the word processor generated version distributed by the
State. Barclay's has promised to include an extensive subject index.
Promises of delivery in April, May, June and July have been made. We
have not seen it yet.
FYI, the Illinois Administrative Code is available on WESTLAW and on
CD-ROM. I know West has a CR-ROM version. Other publishers may as well.
