Due to the wildly successful locally-created Innopac system
documentation Swap and Shop Table set up at the ILUG General Meeting last
year in Seattle, there will be another Swap and Shop Table at the
Pittsburgh meeting on Saturday, July 15th.
Please bring along any materials that your library has created for
users of your local Innovative system, such as OPAC guides, cataloging
manuals, check-in training manuals, lists of system codes, circulation
training manuals, etc. There has been a special interest expressed this
year in lists of record codes. We all can pick up some useful tips from
each other if we have a wide selection of documents available. Last year
all available documents were picked up in ten minutes!
Bring at least one copy of your documents with a business card
stapled to the front, and bring more copies to share if possible. Also
be prepared to leave a few business cards at the table so that others may
contact you later if we run out of extra copies of your material. If
your documents are too cumbersome to bring multiple copies, we can take a
list of names at the table so that you will be able to distribute the
document later by mail, diskette, e-mail, etc. Also, we would like to
collect copies on diskette of each document displayed.
Look for the Swap and Shop Table in the Allegheny I meeting room in
the Vista (Doubletree) Hotel at the ILUG General Meeting on Saturday
afternoon, July 15, from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Drop off your
documents and diskettes with the volunteers there and pick up any items
of interest to you!
