(Join us in D.C. and/or access the program materials)
2009 Annual Meeting Program I-4: The 80/2050 Challenge: What you can do to
reduce your organization's impact on climate change. Tuesday, July 28, 2009
at 10:45 AM.
By now, all of us have heard about "global warming" and "climate change."
But what exactly do those terms mean? More importantly, how can each of us
help our organization reduce its impact? The I-4 "80/2050 Challenge"
program on July 28th at 10:45 a.m. will provide you with the basics of
climate change and concrete steps on how to "green" your workplace.
Can we hit an ambitious target or reducing the world's
greenhouse gases 80% by 2050? Sure-with your help! The presenters are both
experienced in implementing environmentally sustainable programs at work and
in their communities. They will describe the challenge we are facing and
will present the latest and best ideas on creating a green team and
implementing a successful program at work. You will find that reducing your
carbon footprint is relatively simple-not necessarily easy-and often will
save money in the process. Please join us as we discuss what other
organizations have done to become more sustainable.
