Elaine,
Are you interested in print or online research? Free or pay resources or
both? Legal research or investigative research, or both?
It's not a DVD, but If you are interested in a training book on
free/low cost Web research (legal and investigative sites/databases),
I'm just revising our seminar book (it will be in its 10th edition), The
Cybersleuth's Guide to the Internet . It has loads of screen shots (the
legal research chapter has over 80 new screen shots and about 150
pages). I do have video for the older edition of the book (search
strategies and investigative research only) that links the screen shots
to the book pages, but I won't have new video until mid-August when the
book is ready and we do a seminar based on it in Richmond, VA.
Let me know your interest (and I'd love to hear from other librarians).
Maybe I could create something based on the 10th edition of my book. I
don't do any legal research seminars these day, but concentrate on
search strategies and investigative research. The legal research
chapters of The Cybersleuth's Guide really aren't being used to their
fullest and maybe they could be if I added a DVD... You've got me
thinking...
If anyone out there in law lib world would want to collaborate, let me
know.

Carole

Libbers - Associate training has once again taken center stage. The Bob Berring tapes "Commando Legal Research" were excellent, but were done in 1990.
Has any used tapes/DVDs on learning/teaching legal research similar to the Commando tapes but more recent?
Thanks in advance. I'll summarize for the list if any interest.
