Thanks for all the replies. Librarians who deal with Taiwanese patents much more frequently than I do say that yes, we would need to get a translation service. They are not otherwise available in English.

Subject: [LAW-LIB:59168] Taiwanese patents in English?

I've tracked down two patents I'm looking for, at the Taiwanese Intellectual Property Office. All the summaries and bibliographic information are available in English, but I only find the actual patents in Chinese. Are they available anywhere in English or do we need to go to a translation service?
