Hi everyone,
The May edition of AALL's Washington E-Bulletin
<http://www.aallnet.org/aallwash/ebulletin0509.pdf> is now available on
AALLNET. This month, the Government Relations Office reviews the White
House's new Open Government Initiative; provides you with an update on
the recent efforts of AALL and our New York chapters to support
legislation to provide access to Congressional Research Service reports;
and summarizes President Obama's new Memorandum on classified and
sensitive but unclassified information. In chapter news, we include a
summary of the joint letter SNELLA and AALL sent to the Connecticut
Appropriations Committee to oppose the proposed elimination of
acquisitions funding for Connecticut Judicial Branch Law Libraries. And
of course, we provide you with plenty to explore in the "Free Time Well
Spent" section to guarantee you'll never get bored!
Please take a look at our latest E-Bulletin and feel free to send me any
comments or questions.
Thanks,
Emily Feldman
