A legal assistant here is attempting to gather basic information about a certain California non-profit, but cannot find anything beyond their name and address.
Here's what she thought she should be able to find, but could not:
Annual Report (form 990?)
Filings
List of donors
She's a good researcher, so I did not attempt to duplicate her searches on Google, Westlaw, Secretary of State, guidestar.org, etc.
I did, however, direct her to the business section of the Birmingham Public Library (I haven't heard, yet, if they were able to help her, though).
At any rate, I'd appreciate knowing of another way (or ways) to do more / better research for this information on-line, if you know about it.
