    Hello,

     

    I, along with Leslie Street, a reference librarian at the Georgetown
    University Law Library, am conducting research regarding collection
    development cancellation strategies at both law firm and academic law
    libraries. The linked survey is designed to be completed by law firm
    librarians, familiar with collection development policies and procedures
    at their law firms. Additionally, the survey also inquires about usage
    of a few particular types of resources. The survey takes approximately
    10 minutes to complete. We hope that the results of this survey will
    offer a much clearer picture regarding decisions being made across the
    profession about the changing scope of our collections as well as the
    type of material being collected.

     

    We hope to have preliminary survey results gathered by April 30, 2009.
    We would appreciate if you could take a few minutes to complete the
    survey. Your participation will be very helpful in allowing law
    librarians to understand in a more empirical fashion what our colleagues
    are doing at other institutions, so that we can better tackle common
    problems together.
