It seems that law library budgets are always under some strain. Even
when the country's economy is in good shape, firms are looking for
places to increase profits by lowering expenses, and non-profit
organizations always seem to have an eye on that economic "black hole"
in their organization, the library. But now, the economy is in bad
shape, and it may still get worse before it gets better. Budgets in law
libraries for the purchase of information resources are going to be cut
-- that is just a fact for most institutions! On the other side of the
divide, information suppliers are hurting as well. They are losing
customers, making fewer sales, and laying off more employees. How can
we weather this storm? This session will help middle managers figure
out what questions to ask and where to begin looking for answers.
