I asked the immigration guru, Greg Siskind, for his opinion. Greg is
about to write a book for the ABA LPM Section on automating an
    immigration practice.
See his answer below my sig line.

    Here is what Greg said:

"There are three major case management systems specifically designed for
immigration law firms. LawLogix is one and Immigration Tracker and
INSZoom are the other two. LawLogix and INSZoom are both web based and
Immigration Tracker is server-based. Because they are designed for
immigration, they have the advantage of having all the government forms
built in and they collect a lot of information useful to practitioners.
But because their market is too small to allow for the level of
development available in some of the other more general products, they
are not nearly as functional as the more general case management
systems. For example, they typically have no or just minimal integration
with your bookkeeping system. And they don't do a great job when it
comes to document management and assembly. A firm which wants to put
some serious time in to customizing one of the major case management
systems might find that this might actually work very well. If you just
want immigration forms and don't need all of the case management
features, you can also just download the forms in Adobe Acrobat format
at www.uscis.gov. By a full Adobe Acrobat version and you can get a lot
of additional capabilities such as being able to type anywhere on the
form and coding the fields in order to save your data in a spreadsheet."

    Greg Siskind

I am interested in learning what other firms are using for immigration software and how they like it. My firm is just getting back into immigration after a three year hiatus and our new immigration lawyers are currently using LawLogix and they hate it. We previously used Immforms Plus and weren't particularly happy with that either. I know there are other programs out there and would love to hear about the experiences other firms have had with them. Thank you in advance for any and all help that is offered! Sylvia
