Dear LawLibbers:
I've been asked by Anne Craig, Director of the Illinois State Library,
to help spread the word about the Pres. Obama license plates available
through the Illinois Secretary of States Office.
"OBAMA LICENSE PLATE
Secretary of State and State Librarian Jesse White and the Illinois
Library Association (ILA) are pleased to announce the availability of an
official Barack Obama special event Illinois license plate.
The plates are available for purchase at the ILA
<https://secure.netsolhost.com/ila.org/obama/index.html> website.
Proceeds will help support the ILA's activities including iREAD
<http://www.ila.org/pub/iread.htm> , the summer reading program for
Illinois youth.
The special event license plates, which read "Illinois Salutes President
Barack Obama" are unique commemorative plates that can be displayed
until April 17. After this date, the Obama license plate will be
available for purchase to anyone nationwide as a collectible.
