There is clearly much support for Ron on the list. Ron, you
must be feeling very vindicated. You bring to the group an area of
expertise and an admirable willingness to help. But please, we can
avoid periodically going through this draining and time-wasting battle
if you would only exercise a bit of adult restraint and either ignore
Leslie Germaine or respond to her off-list. There's no need to remove
Leslie -- if you don't respond to him/her publicly, Leslie will fade
away like a flower in darkness. You are his/her sunshine. Rise above
the baiting, ignore him/her and just be the valuable, insightful member
of the list that you can be. Leslie will wither away and law-lib, with
Ron Huttner, can once again be a informative, helpful and respectful
community.

list participants
Mr. Huttner has provided much helpful professional information
to this list over the years. If anyone should be removed, it should be
"Leslie Germaine," whoever she might be. I am, however, quite capable
of hitting the delete button. I would be disappointed in this list if
he is removed, particularly if Ms. Germaine is not.
Mary McCormick.

participants
Dear Law-Libbers: I am exhausted and frankly disgusted dealing
with unprofessional postings on the law-lib list. It consumes my time
to respond to numerous emails from subscribers who want Mr. Huttner
removed: subscribers are saying it has gone on long enough, that his
postings are disruptive, offensive and beneath the dignity of this list,
etc etc, etc. I agree. If anyone has a professional reason why Mr.
Huttner should not be removed from the list, please let the list
subscribers know now. And do not send your email to me send them to the
list so that others can judge if they are valid reasons. I have tried
to be fair and patient, and maybe I'm just short on patience today, but
help me out here colleagues, because if I do as you ask and remove Mr.
Huttner, I do not want to hear about it later. Thanks, Judy
