In my opinion, I say kick both Germaine and Huttner out. To those who
think Ronald Huttner is invaluable, keep his email handy and request his
knowledge off-list.
If we end up kicking no one off the list, at least consider Brian's
suggestion of requiring a signature block.
Thanks for giving us an opportunity to help with the decision.

list participants - Email found in subject
Dear Listmates,
For what it is worth, I'd be far more inclined to require list
participants to have a signature block that identifies them and provides
accurate and verifiable contact information before I would suggest
throwing anyone off of the list.
At least one of these people has contributed many bits of valuable
information to this list.
I am more offended by folks hiding behind anonymity than I am for what
they say.
To be offensive without the guts to show who they are is pure cowardice.
Just my $.02.

Dear Law-Libbers: I am exhausted and frankly disgusted dealing
with unprofessional postings on the law-lib list. It consumes my time

removed: subscribers are saying it has gone on long enough, that his
postings are disruptive, offensive and beneath the dignity of this list,
etc etc, etc. I agree. If anyone has a professional reason why Mr.
Huttner should not be removed from the list, please let the list
subscribers know now. And do not send your email to me send them to the
list so that others can judge if they are valid reasons. I have tried
to be fair and patient, and maybe I'm just short on patience today, but
help me out here colleagues, because if I do as you ask and remove Mr.
Huttner, I do not want to hear about it later. Thanks, Judy
