The Tarlton Law Library at The University of Texas has launched a new
current awareness services, Current Energy Legal Literature
(http://web.austin.utexas.edu/law_library/energy/). This service
provides basic bibliographic data for recent articles focused on energy
law appearing in U.S. legal journals and non-U.S. legal journals
published in English. In addition to articles on renewable and
alternative energy sources and new developments in traditional energy
sources, related environmental law articles are also included. In order
to allow users to evaluate the articles, the first page of each article
is available for 60 days.
The service complements Tarlton's other current awareness services,
Actual Innocence, Capital Punishment, Copyright, Domestic Violence,
Patent and Trademark. Nolan Wright, reference librarian, edits the new
awareness service, which will not only enrich the law school curriculum,
but also assist practitioners seeking the latest articles. The service
is RSS-enabled to allow users to receive automatic notices of updates.
