The chapter citation is:
Chapter 1: A Defense of TICs and DSTs by Richard M. Lipton
From:
PLI Tax Law and Estate Planning Course Handbook Series
Tax and Law Practice
PLI order no. 14322 Oct.-Dec. 2008
Tax Strategies for Corporate Acquisitions, Dispositions, Spin-Offs,
Joint Ventures, Financings, Reorganizations & Restructurings 2008.
I was able to obtain several chapters from a recent PLI course handbook
from Westlaw, but one of the chapters had a note, saying "for copyright
reasons, the material set forth at this point is not displayable. See
the PLI Course Handbook for the omitted material."
I contacted PLI to see if I could purchase a single chapter as the
course handbook is a multi-volume set that costs $2,000. My firm used to
purchase all PLI course handbooks (every last one of 'em) but now I use
Westlaw to get PLI material.
PLI does not sell individual chapters. I've had a hard time determining,
through WorldCat and law school catalog searches, whether potential
suppliers own the 2008 edition of this course handbook.
Will pay any fees. Thank you.
