Redson Kapindu is the Deputy Director of the South African Institute for Advanced Constitutional, Public, Human Rights and International Law (SAIFAC), which is based at Constitution Hill in Johannesburg. He is also a Ph.D. Candidate at the Oliver Schreiner Law School at the University of the Witwatersrand. He holds an LL.B. (honors) from the University of Malawi; an LL.M. from the University of Pretoria; a Diploma in International Human Rights from Lund University; and a Diploma in International Refugee Law from the Universidad Internacional Menéndez Pelayo (UIMP).

Tambimuttu, a native of Sri Lanka, has an M.L.I.S. from San Jose State University, San Jose, California, an M.A. in English from Santa Clara University, Santa Clara, California, and a B.A. in English from the University of San Francisco. A recent Library and Information Science graduate, Tambimuttu has worked in Public Services for many years at the Heafey Law Library, at Santa Clara University, as well as at Stanford University Libraries.

Rasmus H. Wandall is currently working for the Head of Prosecutions in Denmark. He is responsible, among others things, for developing sentencing information systems. He has been an assistant research professor and a post-doctoral research fellow at the University of Copenhagen. He holds degrees in legal studies from the University of Copenhagen (bachelor’s, 1997; master’s, 2000; Ph.D., 2004). He has been a Visiting Fellow at UC Berkeley (2001 and 2005), a Global Fellow at New York University School of Law (2004-2005) and a Visiting Academic at Oxford University’s Centre for Criminology (2005-2006). He researches and publishes on comparative criminal law and penology.
Steen Rosendahl is a law librarian at The Library of the Faculty of Law, University of Copenhagen. He is editor in chief of the legal research web site www.juraportal.dk, and he is responsible for the library's European Documentation Centre. He also instructs academic staff and students in information research methodology.

The author of this article is Associate Professor of Constitutional Law at İstanbul Bilgi University. She received her Ph.D. and LL.M. degrees from the University of Ankara. Her previous research deals with secularism; problems of transition and democratic consolidation; civil and military relations; and democratic consolidation and the political consequences of governmental systems. She is currently doing work related to the freedom of expression and democracy. Some of her works have been recognized by prominent institutions and foundations in Turkey. In 1986, she won the third prize in an academic competition on the topic of “Secularism from the Point of View of the Principles of Atatürk. In 1987, she won the second prize in a competition on the topic of “Secularism and İnönü.” In 1991, she won the first prize in a competition organized by the Foundation of Aybay on the topic of “Secularism from the point of View of Human Rights.” In 1994, she won the first prize in a comp
etition organized by the Cumhuriyet Newspaper on the topic of “Enlightenment Philosophy and the Turkish Revolution.” In 1998, she won the second prize in a competition organized by the Milliyet Newspaper on the topic of “The Evaluation of Presidential and Semi-Presidential Systems for Turkey.” She has published articles on constitutionalism, the rule of law and democracy, EU integration, democracy, and reform. She is a member of the “Committee of Scholars” who prepared the constitutional draft upon the demand of the government.
