I agree. If those children were taken because of the names their parents
gave them, then I think that is pathetic. Where does it stop? We don't
like these names so we are taking the children. We don't like where you
live so we are taking the children. We don't like where the children go
to school so we are taking the children. We don't like how you dress
them so we are taking the children. We don't like how you comb their
hair so we are taking the children.
I grew up not liking my middle name. I'm sure glad that wasn't the basis
for making me a ward of the state. They better have some good reasons
for doing such a drastic thing and I agree that there is absolutely
nothing "delightful" about it.

Subject: [LAW-LIB:57786] RE: Children With Nazi-Inspired Names Removed
>From Home
I can't say I take much delight in knowing children were separated from
their parents. Especially children, no matter how objectionable I find
there names, who seem to have been well fed, well-treated and
well-loved. There may have been a good reason for it but so far no news
article has given that reason.
The children may be better off in the long run, we have no way to know,
but it does strike me more as tragic than delightful. I do not believe
there are ever any winners when children are torn from their homes and
moved into the NJ Child Services System.
Perhaps you did not mean for your comment to sound as flippant as I'm
taking it? I certainly hope so!
