One of our Research Assistants is trying to determine the number of
attorneys at select firms who worked for the Dept. of Justice prior to
going on to private practice. The RA is considering working with the
attorney profiles in Martindale Hubbell over a range of years as one
approach to finding this information.
Our question is - does anyone know how MH goes about collecting the
information it publishes in its attorney profiles? We know that the onus
is on the firm to provide the information that it wants included, but does
MH provide a form or template that would make it likely that past work
experience at the DOJ would be included in a listing?
And a related question - it’s been many years since I’ve worked at a firm,
my recollection is that information for MH listings was handled centrally.
How does your firm handle this process and how has it changed over time?
Maybe your firm no longer even lists in MH, or does just a bare bones
listing.
Thanks in advance for your help, suggestions and insights.
