Notwithstanding the date of 2008, LexisNexis has just shipped the latest softcover of Tennessee law for business entities. And it is a very useful little book, hence our order of 50 copies which we hand out to those attorneys who like to have the laws near at hand.
However, I do not know why LexisNexis chooses to send me 50 individually packaged books instead of a couple or three boxes of them. Now, I am not privy to the workings of a multinational legal publishing Goliath such as LexisNexis Matthew Bender, and I am sure there is some sophisticated corporate logic at work, so I am not surprised that nothing changed after I complained last year to my local rep about the 50 packages. (Where is Paul Simon when you need him?)
But, to their credit they did act on at least one of my suggestions and replaced those fiber envelopes, you know, the ones that when you open them spew debris all over the place, with simple padded envelopes.
