...Actually, I coined the phrase "All the Way with LBJ!" I was driving
cross-country with Lyndon and the truck broke down in Minneapolis.
Hubert offered me a lift to Phoenix, where Barry would drive me to L.A.,
but I insisted on sticking with the Johnsonater (as we used to call
him.)..Also, Churchill stole that whole Blood, sweat and tears thing
from me, too. We were knocking back brandies on Franklin's back porch in
Hyde Park and I was telling him about my root canal that morning. And,
let me confess it here and now, I am both Slyvia Hagan and Leslie
Germaine. Also the Easter Bunny, although I keep that quiet because I
don't like to raise the subject of religion on the list.
And regarding tomorrow, if you haven't voted early, vote often...(sorry,
I'm from New Jersey)...get out and Vote for somebody.

RUBBISH !!!! ABSOLUTE RUBBISH !!!
It is a famous quotation of the then Prime Minister Holt.
It later became a campaign slogan.
Any number of easily accessible sites, had you bothered to look, would
have confirmed that.
To take just one such site, look at the last paragraph of
http://www.gwb.com.au/gwb/news/economic/010798.html.
There are heaps of similar sites that say exactly the same thing.
And, as it happens, I have a clear recollection of actually hearing
Harold Holt say those very words.
Every Australian knows only too well that Harold Holt did use those
words, so it is really amusing, Stephanie, that you have stuck your neck
out and adamantly asserted the contrary !
They are as famous words in Australia's history as Churchill's "Blood,
sweat and tears" are in the UK.

Do you actually know ANYTHING at all about the history
and nature of the relationship between the USA and Australia ? Ever
heard of the famous words of our late Prime Minister Harold Holt -
"All the way with LBJ" ? Plainly not. Do some reading.
Wow!!! This board has really gotten off target. Australian
history lessons as a topic?? I do confess to a lack of down-under
knowledge. Guess I'll have to rent that old Crocodile guy movie again.
BTW, "lighten up Ronnie baby!!"** Sheeshh. If you don't want
e-mails at a particular e-mail address, simply block the sender. It's
not that hard to do.
