    Dear colleagues:

I wanted to make everyone on this list aware of a tenure-track faculty
librarian opening at Western Kentucky University. We are located in
Bowling Green, Kentucky, a culturally and ethnically diverse city of
63,000 an hour north of Nashville and 2 hours south of Louisville. I'm
not a member of the search committee, but will be happy to answer any
questions about the position or the university.

Although this is not a law library, the position involves (among other
things) negotiating license agreements, and would be perfect for a law
librarian who wants to gain some broad university experience and to work
with licensing of electronic products. Also, since tenure-track faculty
positions require an additional graduate degree beyond the MLS, so a
candidate with a JD meets that requirement.

The position description is below my signature.

    Bryan M. Carson
Associate Professor/Coordinator of Reference & Instructional Services
Western Kentucky University Libraries, Bowling Green, Kentucky
