CONFLICTS SPECIALIST - WASHINGTON, DC
Are you currently working as a librarian or a paralegal with experience
in performing legal research? Do you like working in a law firm
environment but are looking to make a change in your day-to-day
activities? We have an opportunity for you to take your experience and
learn a new area of a law firm! We are actively searching for a
Conflicts Specialist to perform conflicts research in a large
international law firm. The Conflicts Specialist will perform conflict
of interest checks regarding potential clients, new attorneys, and
potential adverse parties to the firm. This will involve performing
business research and legal research using various legal resources. You
will be interacting daily with the attorneys requesting conflicts
analyses, and you will also be responsible for preparing a summary of
your findings and following up with the attorneys. Applicants with
prior experience in conflicts are preferred, but candidates with at
least 1-2 years of legal research experience are also highly desirable.
The conflicts department is very large and can also offer supervisory
responsibilities for those with prior experience as a supervisor.
Salary is commensurate with experience and the firm offers an excellent
benefits package including a generous amount of paid time off, a
commuting allowance, full time or back up child care, and a business
