    The Phoenix School of Law is seeking applications for the Director of Information Resources & Technology (or Assistant or Associate Dean depending on qualifications) with the possibility of faculty appointment. The Phoenix School of Law is part of the Infilaw consortium of law schools.
    Responsibilities:
    Manages and provides oversight for all library and information technology operations of the law school; in consultation with the faculty, develops law library collections in all formats that will meet ABA accreditation standards; oversees development of law school technology infrastructure; creates and/or refines policies and procedures; plans for and maintains budgets for the Information Resources Center (IRC) and Information Technology (IT); participates as a member of the law school senior management team; participates in various InfiLaw consortium committees.
    Depending on appointment, participates in teaching in the law school as needed and produces scholarship that relates to primary job functions.
    Required:
    J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school; Master’s degree from an ALA-accredited library school; significant administrative and supervisory experience in an academic law library; strong background and understanding of law school and instructional technology; experience developing and writing policies and procedures; experience and expert knowledge of legal materials and legal research techniques; awareness of current trends in libraries and technology and excellent knowledge of library and IT management, legal research, library automation, budgeting, planning and library instructional programs; strong oral and written communication skills; excellent instructional and teaching skills; significant, or potential for, scholarship; commitment to enhancing services through teamwork and responsiveness to clients; flexibility and enthusiasm for working in a collaborative environment.
    Salary and Benefits:
    Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Depending on qualifications, the selected candidate may be considered for an Assistant or Associate Dean and/or a faculty position.

    The Phoenix School of Law was established in 2005 and received ABA provisional accreditation in 2007. It is part of the InfiLaw consortium of law schools and is committed to a learning experience that is student-centered and creates practice-ready graduates. We just graduated our inaugural class of 38 students and are pleased to announce that the bar passage rate for this group is 97%.
    The IRC provides access to over 100,000 volumes and volume-equivalents and many electronic resources. The IRC and IT staff currently serve a law school with 21 full-time faculty members and 350 students. The IRC is staffed with 5 librarians, 4 library assistants, and 5 circulation aides. The IT department is comprised of 4 staff members.
