Library Associates Companies (LAC) seeks experienced Legal Reference
Librarian for an immediate vacancy/temporary assignment in law library
of a prestigious government agency in Washington D.C. Ideal candidate
will have an MLS and at least two years of legal research and reference
focused on government materials; JD negotiable depending on other
qualifications. Working hours will be 8:00 am to 5:00 pm three to five
days per week. Position is available immediately and will last through
the end of November 2008 with the possibility of contract renewal.
Responsibilities:
* Provide superior oral and written legal and legislative
information services to demanding and diverse clients;
* Effectively and efficiently respond to US and state legal
research questions in-person, by telephone, and via e-mail.
Qualifications
* MLS Degree;
* JD negotiable depending on qualifications;
* Minimum of two years experience minimum in a law library;
* Superior attention to detail;
* Must be self-motivated, with a strong customer service
orientation and be able to work with minimum of supervision and with all
levels of personnel;
