Hi, Joel!! And Happy MOnday, if there is such a thing.  I stand corrected--you are absolutely right on that.  Thanks for getting my head on straight.  Have a great week.  Jim Sherman

Ruling Case Law was actually the predecessor to American Jurisprudence.

Hi, Kim. Hope you're having a great week. If I remember correctly, RCL stands for Ruling Case Law, which I believe was an early predecessor to ALR, published either in the late 19th or early 20th centuries.  I may be wrong on this, but if memory serves me correctly. Take care!!  Jim Sherman, Librarian, San Joaquin Memorial High School, Fresno, CA (former law librarian)

I have a cite that I have been unable to identify.  Does anyone know the abbreviation R.C.L.?  It appears something like 20 R.C.L. 97, 98.  This is not the exact cite but this is the format.
