We here in the new Fairfax Public Law Library would like to acquire a
pair of large, living plants to put on either side of our Checkpoint
security gate at the main entrance. They would be located in a big
foyer with a lot of bright natural light (there is no direct sunlight,
however); the problem is, I know nothing about the "best" species of
plant for this purpose in a library. Does anyone out there have any
good ideas or recommendations? We are simply imagining something of
modest price, green, handsome, durable, reasonably full foliage, 3-5
feet tall, and easy to take care of...
