For a program we are proposing for the AALL meeting in DC in 2009, Mary
Whisner and I are looking for librarians who work with
law professors and/or others who conduct empirical legal research.
We are particularly interested in hearing from librarians who are
knowledgeable about existing datasets and strategies for locating
datasets and/or identifying statistical sources that may be incorporated
into datasets for empirical legal research.
Does this description match your experience? Please contact me directly at
cnyberg@u.washington.edu.
Does this description match a friend or acquaintance? Please forward this
email to him or her and/or ask that s/he contact me directly. Librarians
who work for or with number-crunchers in federal agencies (such as the
Bureau of Justice Statistics, the Federal Judicial Center, the Census Bureau,
etc.) AND who are located in Washington DC are particularly urged to
consider responding.
Thanks and excuse the duplication.
