Here is preliminary information regarding the memorial for Mr. Mersky.
Roy Mersky, distinguished head librarian at The University of Texas Law
School, died on May 6, 2008. The Law School plans a tribute to
Professor Mersky on Sunday, October 5, 2008, at 1 p.m. in the
Etter-Harbin Alumni Center on the UT Campus. A reception will follow.
You will receive an invitation with more details a few weeks before the
event, but we are alerting you now so you can make plans to attend.
Directions, information about parking, and an opportunity to rsvp will
follow in the subsequent invitation. We hope you will mention the
tribute to other friends of Professor Mersky so they also can plan to
attend.
The attachment contains a list of hotels that have rooms available that
weekend. If you will need a room, we urge you to make your reservation
early because hotels in Austin fill up rapidly on autumn weekends.
