Can someone recommend an overview, or "Mine Safety for Dummies"?

It's not a topic I know anything about and I can't even assist the
attorney in pointing to any good associations, databases, regulatory
information or treatises. If anyone has been down this path before and
can advise, I would appreciate it. I made the mistake of letting my
librarian with the engineering and environmental background go off on
vacation - something that won't happen again....
