    Hi all -

     

    I am putting together an AALL program proposal for 2009 on environmental
    sustainability initiatives and libraries. I am looking for 1 or 2 speakers.
    If you or someone you know (librarians and/or environmental advocates) is a
    good speaker and has expertise on any of the topics below, please contact me
    ASAP off the list.

     

    Possible Program Topics
    (Env. Sustainability will focus on greenhouse gases/climate change)

    A) Why is environmental sustainability important? - brief inconvenient truth
    lesson

    B) How to organize and launch a successful green team at your
    library/organization

    C) Determine environmental your impact - get baseline data and set
    priorities

    D) Take action - implement initiatives

     

    Preference will be for speakers who will are already attending the AALL
    meeting in Washington DC or live in the DC area.
