Many many thanks to all who made the Stitching SIS Silent Auction a great
success! We raised $980 for the Friends of the Multnomah County Public
Library.
The donated items were just beautiful, and many items were hotly
contested.
We invited the Friends of the Multnomah County Public Library
administrators, Sara Lindgren and Anne Pearson to the exhibit hall on
Tuesday and they had wonderful things to say about law librarians and
AALL.
>From Sara Lindgren:
Anne and I had such a good time seeing you all and watching the last few
minutes of the successful silent auction. I even felt lucky to have bid
on a few items! All our best to your Stitching SIS group and wish you
continued
success with silent auctions in the years ahead. What a warm and generous
contribution you and the handcrafters made to the library-loving people
of Portland!
Thank you to you and Joanne, it was a pleasure meeting you both.
Special thanks go to the State Court & County SIS and to the Law Library
Association of Maryland for offering us space at their tables in the
Exhibit Hall.
We will continue to support the Friends of the Public Llibrary in our
conference host city. Join us next year in Washington DC for another
success story.
Best regards to all,
