    HOT TOPIC Program (TS-SIS): Energize Personnel in the Library: Managing Difficult and Change-resistant Staff Members (TS-SIS Program) Tuesday, July 15, 2008 — 2:45pm - 4:00pm.

    This program will address issues concerning staff who are resistant to change including: recognizing a problem with staff and resolving it; the effects that personnel interaction can have on workflows and services; motivational techniques; attraction and retention of good personnel; and the "how, when and why" of employee dismissal.  the speakers will also address how library science programs can better prepare students for management positions.
     
    There will be a question and answer session at the end of the program.
