    The PLL-SIS Independent Law Librarians group invites you to attend the program, Using Consultants and Contractors (aka Outtaskers) to Tame Your Budget on Monday, July 14th, from Noon to 1:15pm. The panelists (Mary Dzurinko, Kathie Sullivan, Joan Axelroth and myself) will discuss:

     * Consultant's and contractor's impact on budget
     * Timing and the realities of outtasking (aka outsourcing)
     *
    Hiring guidelines - what to look for in a consultant or contractor and how to hire
     *
    Suggestions for positions or tasks that are good candidates for being outtasked or where a consultant would be useful
     *
    Case studies

    There will be time for Q&A as well. Attendees will take home a handout that provides guidance in each of the topics above. This will not be a sales pitch or marketing effort for any of the companies participating in the panel, but instead, an informational meeting that will provide direction regarding what consultants and contractors can do for you.

    Space is limited so please RSVP<mailto:nplatt@ninaplatt.com> ASAP, if you plan on attending, to allow us to plan for lunch.

    Best regards,
    Nina
