I noticed the breaking news at CNN.com earlier today about the
flooding in Des Moines and emailed a couple of friends there. Here's a
couple of messages I received:
"The Law Library and the rest of Drake have not been directly affected
by the flooding, and to the best of my knowledge no Library employees'
homes have been affected, either (except for possibly some water in
the basement). It sounds like the situation in Des Moines should
begin to improve this weekend. I believe eastern Iowa (Cedar Rapids,
Iowa City (including University of Iowa), e.g.) has been hit much
harder this time."
and
"Some courts have evacuated out to Drake so I am working on that.
Sorry I don't have time to give more details. See kcci.com."
The Des Moines Register also has extensive coverage of the flooding

I imagine folks at Drake are very busy, so we should let them continue
with their efforts in supporting their community, but if anyone is
affected by the flooding, please give us a quick report and let us
know if there's anything the law library community can do for you.
Thank you,
Andrew
