You can now search full-text back to 1996.
For the 9th circuit, for example, click on the full-text tab at
http://www.findlaw.com/casecode/courts/9th.html and then enter your
keywords.
For other circuits, choose your circuit from
http://www.findlaw.com/10fedgov/judicial/appeals_courts.html.

since they re-launched last week? I have NOT been able to use the "full-text" feature for almost a week and I can't find a good contact person at FindLaw to query. The "email" address they give to send queries begins with an "http://." That doesn't make sense... I have been able to use the California state case law database full-text feature. If anyone from FindLaw is on this list, please email or call me to explain.
