    Library Associates Companies (LAC) seeks skilled part-time Business /
    Legal Researcher to work on a temporary project on which we're bidding.
    This position is in the corporate library of a prestigious government
    agency in Washington, D.C. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of
    three years' research experience using a multitude of business and legal
    databases and unflagging customer service orientation. Position offers
    competitive compensation.

    Responsibilities include:

    * Provide accurate and timely business and legal research and
    reference services to internal users and staff;
    * Review diverse sources of information for currency, reliability,
    relevance, and if applicable cost-effectiveness, and choose the best
    sources for answering research requests;
    * Maintain familiarity with client's information resources,
    catalog, circulation, acquisitions, and routing systems;
    * Remain current on new information resources, both in print and
    electronic form
    * Perform related tasks as needed

    Qualifications include:

    * Master's degree in Library Science (MLS)
    * Minimum three years' business and legal research experience
    * Knowledge of business and legal database research databases;
    * Knowledge of print reference sources in business and legal
    areas;
    * Superior research skills with minimal supervision;
    * Professional attitude and demeanors; ability to interact
    effectively with people at all organizational levels
    * Strong communication skills, both written and oral;
    * Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with
    the appropriate discretion;
    * Ability to manage time well, prioritize effectively, and handle
    multiple deadlines;
    * Knowledge and proficiency in PC applications, including MS
    Office;
