Hi, all. Please spread the word that the unofficial Stitching SIS will
hold its second annual silent auction this year in Portland. Both SCCLL
and LLAM have offered us space at their exhibit hall tables, so we'll
have lots of room for donations. If you (or someone who owes you) are
crafty, please consider donating a handmade item to the auction. Keep in
mind that the items will have to be packed in a suitcase, so small
and/or sturdy are good characteristics. Although the Stitching SIS is
sponsoring the auction, other handcrafts are eagerly welcomed.

For those of you without the crafting gene, this is a great opportunity
to score some cool stuff, and perhaps get an early jump on holiday
    gifts.

Proceeds from the auction (which totaled nearly $1000 dollars last
year!) will go to the Friends of the Portland Public Library.

The silent auction site will also be the unofficial gathering spot for
anyone who would like to sit and stitch a spell. Come join us!
