For those of you who subscribe to the CCH Medicare and Medicaid Guide, I
have two questions:
1) How far back do you keep the "New Developments" transfer
binders? Our library is fairly small and we don't have a ton of space,
and we have these back to the 1970s. Seems like a good area to save
space since these aren't very new developments at this point...
2) Do you keep the extra parts that aren't filed in the binders
(e.g., the proposed and final rules, the cost reports, etc.), and, if
so, how long? I'm wondering if there's any reason to keep the rules, in
particular, for very long since patrons can consult the Federal Register
if they need the text of a historical rule...
Thanks in advance for any tips you can provide. Please reply to
laurel.davis@state.ma.us, and I can summarize any useful findings for
the list.
