Another option if you get no takers on the listservs is Better World Books!
    http://betterworldbooks.com/Programs/Library.aspx They take book
donations/discards and resell them at no cost to the donating library or
    individual.

Their Website statement says it all:

Better World Books capitalizes on the value of the book to fund and support
    literacy initiatives
locally, nationally, and around the world.

Good luck and way to go by recycling/reusing rather than letting them end up
    in a landfill!

    Hi, John
It's so nice to hear from you!!! I have truly missed being able to call you.
I would say a note on law-lib (law-lib@ucdavis.edu) would be the best way to
go. You will get law librarians from all walks of life on that listserve. If
you need help with this, just let me know. You may need to subscribe before
you are able to post. If you don't want to do that, I can post the email for
you and then refer people to you.

Hope to talk to you soon!!!! If I can help in any way, just let me know. ML

Subject: Law books looking for a good home

    Hi Mary Lynn:

Here's an email from out of the blue, from John Graham. Happy to say I'm
back in the library world, at Covington branch in Kenton County. Just
started last week, and a great place to work.

One of the tasks I've inherited is (trying) to find a good home for a
donation of mostly outdated legal texts. The only local item are a couple
hundred volumes of "Kentucky Decisions," S.W. 2nd. We probably have about
    800 volumes total.

I don't have a complete list of volumes/titles yet. Before I have my staff
compile one, the main question is: What's the most effective way, if any, to
find a home for these items? We have no need for them in KCPL, that's for
sure. Is there any listserv or other way to go? Any suggestions are
    welcome.

     Thanks for your help!

    -John
