Good morning,
I am trying to track down statistics on class certification trends in the
U.S. (i.e., number of class actions certified in federal court). I have
found some good data from the Administrative Office of US Courts on class
action trends (unfortunately, they stopped breaking out stats on class
actions in 2004) but can't seem to find any information on how many class
actions are actually certified. I have also looked at the Bureau of
Justice Statistics, Federal Judicial Center, Classactionlitigation.com,
conference papers from the ABA's 11th Annual National Institute on Class
Actions, as well as doing some literature searches on Lexis.
Any advice? I've seen data on securities class actions but really would
like something more general (or ideally, focused on antitrust litigation).
Best regards,
Victoria
