Dear Colleagues,
I have been tasked with finding 27 obscure articles on Transitional
Justice, Truth Commissions, and Peace-making. With the help of JSTOR,
Hein On-line, and Wexis, I have located PDF copies of 20 of them. That
leaves me with 7 hard ones.
Now, I turn to the real pros for help. Can any of you provide a PDF or
Fax, or whatever, copies of the following 7 articles? If so, I would be
indebted always. ;-)
It is possible that the author for Number 6 is actually Sarkin, and not
Rakate.
1. van Zyl, Paul, Dilemmas of Transitional Justice: The Case of
South Africa's Truth and Reconciliation Commission, 52 Journal of
International Affairs 647 (1999)
2. Little, D. A Different Kind of Justice: Dealing with Human
Rights Violations in Transitional Societies, 13 Ethics and International
Affairs 65 - 80 (1999)
3. Klug H., Amnesty, Amnesia and Remembrance: International
Obligations and the Need to Prevent the Repetition of Gross Violations
of Human Rights, 92 Contemporary International Issues 316 (1998)
4. Vergara A.C., Justice Impunity and the Transition to Democracy:
A Challenge for Human Rights Education 23 Journal of Moral Education,
273 - 284 (1994)
5. *Rakate P.K., Preconditions and Processes for Establishing a
Truth and Reconciliation Commission in Rwanda: The Possible Interim Role
of Gacaca Community Courts, 2 Law, Democracy and Development 223 (1999)
6. Sarkin J., Transitional Justice and the Prosecution Model: The
Experience of Ethiopia 2 Law, Democracy and Development 253 (1999)
7. Scott R., Procedures at Inquiries - The Duty to Be Fair, 3 The

Thank you for any help you can provide.
Sincerely,
Brian

As nightfall does not come all at once, neither does oppression. In both
instances, there is a twilight when everything remains seemingly
unchanged. And it is in such twilight that we all must be aware of
change in the air however slight, lest we become unwitting victims of
the darkness.
Justice William O. Douglas, US Supreme Court (1939-75)
