    Sid,

I have a friend currently serving in the Green Zone (Iraq) and his
address (APO) is correctly listed in Accurint. Accurint would supposedly
also list FPO addresses which sort of takes care of people serving
    outside CONUS (Continental US).

As I have advised, in other similar emails, if you know the region where
a person lives and if there is a post/base nearby, (Fayetteville,NC is
Ft Bragg for example) simply place a call to the Post/Base MP (military
police) office and make an inquiry. Often soldiers are heirs and need to
be found. Of course there might be more sinister reasons for such an
inquiry but I find the MP Commander can be most helpful.

    Good luck.

I thought you could get this info from the DMDC
    https://www.dmdc.osd.mil/swg/owa/WebGuard.Login?APPL=9025&RULE=01 but
when I read their warning, it looks like it's not publicly available.

    the military.

I am a bit surprised how difficult getting a specific
answer to this question is. I am seeking to find out if someone is in
    the military.

I contacted a service that was referenced to in the
Zimmerman research site and they might be able to help, but the attorney
I am working with asked me to find out if there is another way.

The military librarians I have contacted simply passed
me on without a definitive answer whether this information is available
to the public and if so where.

I found one person on lawlib made the same query a few
years back; I am awaiting a reply from the him.

My gut tells me more than one must have had this
question before...does anyone know if there is a reasonable easy and
inexpensive way to find out if someone is in the military?

                    Thanks,
