On behalf of the LIPA Executive Committee, I am very pleased to announce
that Margie Maes is the new Executive Director of the Legal Information
Preservation Alliance. As many of you know, Margie was one of the
people instrumental in the creation of LIPA and served for three years
on the executive committee. She also chaired the strategic planning
committee which created our current strategic plan. We cannot think of
a better person to take on the responsibilities of guiding LIPA at this
stage of our work. More information about LIPA is available at

Margie will officially take over the half-time executive director's
position starting May 1. For now she will continue to work half-time at

that Margie has agreed to take on the responsibilities of the executive
