As we all know, LexisNexis Courtlink is a very useful database, and the
only docket database that permits you to run a Nature of Suit search
and get a daily e-mail listing all defendants. Recently I was reminded
how important it is to always double-check your search parameters before
entering a new Alert search, especially if you are setting up a
Nature-of-Suit Alert . By clicking the "Expand All Courts" tab before
finalizing your search, you can make sure all your search parameters are
correct. You would not for example want to leave work one day thinking
that you had set up a search for cases under two or three "Nature of
Suit" categories and then discover the next morning that you had
actually set up a search for ALL new federal district court cases. Not
of course that any of us would ever do anything like that... especially
since we know that Courtlink experts are always standing by to help at
    1-888-311-1966.
