The US Snail assigned our firm a ZIP+4 code, but put a different one in
the database. Publishers with automated systems can't correct it.
Their systems keep re-inserting the wrong +4. They even try omitting +4
altogether, and their systems reinsert the wrong code. The Customer
Service reps have their supervisors or IS folks try manual overrides,
but the wrong code keeps reappearing. The wrong +4 really slows our
mail delivery and probably accounts for missing issues.
Does anyone have a "fix" or USPS procedure for this?
