We invite you to attend Cost Recovery : The Basics on February 13, 2008
at Noon (EST) hosted by PLL-SIS (Private Law Libraries Special Interest
Section) of the American Association of Law Libraries.
DESCRIPTION: Cost recovery of online research expense is expected in
most firms but not always understood by the librarians or administrators
who seek to recover those costs. This session will cover the 5
components that make up a cost recovery program including budget, usage
reporting tools, disbursement management, tracking progress and
communicating to firm leaders.
LEARNING OUTCOMES: Participants will be prepared to plan a basic cost
recovery program. Participants will be equipped to compare online
information usage reporting tools.

This is an introductory program for library staff new to cost recovery.
It is the first of a 2-part series of webinars to be offered February -
March 2008 by the PLL-SIS. The second webinar, Cost Recovery:
Experience from the Trenches in Small, Medium, and Large Law Firms, will
be offered in March 12, 2008. Look for information about that program
soon.
