Library Associates Companies (LAC) seeks Tax Information Specialist to
work in a prestigious international law firm's New York, NY office. This
is an exciting opportunity for a team-oriented business researcher with

Responsibilities:
* Daily tax news circulation, postings on Tax Group client Site
where applicable.
* Follow tax-related legislative and administrative developments
and circulate to group.
* General research including: articles, journals and periodicals,
legislative history, and other searches that attorneys may require
throughout their daily activities.
* SEC and other corporate document searches using SEC Edgar,
LiveEdgar, and individual company websites. Requires some familiarity
with corporate filings.
* Assist librarians and other departments in tax-related research
assignments; familiarity with library resources required.
* Create binders and file folders relating to major tax topics as
per the request of tax attorneys.
* Assist in preparation of tax group documents including memo
citation checking and PowerPoint presentations.
* Liaison between overseas offices and New York office resources.
* Maintenance of tax files and on-line databases including the Tax
Group Forum, Tax Memo Database, and other databases available on Tax
Group client site.
* Long-term update of Tax Memo Database by scanning old memos and
updating the descriptive information in the database.
* Liaison between tax attorney's and IT regarding changes and
updates to Tax Group Site.
* Maintenance of the tax group list and vacation calendar (weekly
circulation).
* Attendance at all KM meetings as tax group representative.
* Liaison for tax group regarding KM research services.
* Develop and conduct tax research training sessions for tax
associates.
Job Qualifications:
* Minimum one year of related business research experience or a
master's in library and information sciences.
* Ability to handle multiple projects, work under deadlines and
determine priorities.
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well
as in a team setting.
* Competence with Microsoft Office suite, especially Word and
Excel.
