[LAW-LIB:54091] Court Proceedings in British Cases

A professor here has asked for the "complete court proceedings and records" for a 1962 British case, Cheni v. Cheni. We found the text of the case in LexisNexis Academic but we have been unable to find any description of court records and briefs in the print and online guides to British legal research.

Are records of the court proceedings maintained by a party similar to the U.S. clerk of the court? And if so, can copies of those proceedings be requested by an outside party? Do the attorneys file briefs?

Any assistance (including direction to sources that discuss British court records excluding the written decisions of the courts) appreciated.

Thanks.

Cheryl
